Abstract
In the author’s reading of Walter Benjamin’s Die Aufgabe des Übersetzers and of some more extracts from Benjamin’s translation, the author not only examines Benjamin’s ideas about translation and his translation practice, but also further relationships of ‘derivation’ of one text from another, such as that between a preface and the text it introduces.
