Few studies have examined simultaneous interpreters’ headphone habits. This paper aims to review some laterality studies carried out on conference interpreters when asked to shadow, interpret simultaneously and perform certain finger-tapping exercises when processing information presented to their left ear, their right ear, and both ears.
