Abstract
As the author points out, local translators can help individuals succeed as translators. She explains that one of the principal reasons why translators join local translator groups is in order to get ahead. They want to learn about technology, trends, and job opportunities. Contact with other translators is a help, as is a listing in a local group’s translation services directory.
