Texts containing a high number of figures often pose problems to translators. This paper aims to analyse the different types of difficulties linked to numerical information present in non-technical and scientific texts. Next, the article lists some strategies to facilitate their translation. Moreover, it draws some conclusions with respect to translation teaching. The paper pays special attention to pitfalls such as currency units, weight measures and grammatical problems.
