The aim of this article is to present the results obtained relating to expert translators’ dynamic concept of translation, and their dynamic approach to the translation of specific texts. The authors understand a ‘dynamic’ concept and approach to translation to be textual, communicative and functional as opposed to a ‘static’ concept and approach, which may be defined as linguistic and literal. The authors present the results obtained for the variable Translation Project and their triangulation with those obtained for the variable Knowledge about Translation. The resulting Dynamic Translation Index is then triangulated with the indicator ‘Acceptability’ to determine the relationship between both.
