Abstract
The current paper is a product-oriented follow-up to Angelone’s earlier process-oriented exploratory study of metacognition and uncertainty management in translation problem solving (2010). After introducing the central concepts of uncertainty and uncertainty management and proposing a three-stage model of problem-solving, the paper reports on how the uncertainty management strategies of one professional translators and three translation students correlate with translation quality.
