Abstract
In this short article, the author explains the concept of agents/agency during the translation process. After giving a definition of ‘agents of translation’, she links the concept to objective and subjective structures. She discusses why one should study translation from the viewpoint of the agent, referring to scholars such as Simeoni and Pym. Next, she gives a brief overview of the various perspectives in agent-grounded research. She concludes her article by pointing out to translatorial agency and translator’s habitus.
