Abstract
A common feature is that both Korean and Japanese use a lot of words written in Chinese characters. This study aims to explain the frequency of using Chinese letters that decides the readability (defined as reading ease, especially as it results from a writing style. Extensive research has shown that easy-reading text improves comprehension, retention, reading speed, and reading persistence) of an article by analyzing the nouns in both Korean and Japanese newspaper. Furthermore, we’ll suggest a strategy for Korean-Japanese translation in newspaper.
