Abstract

The present paper aims at presenting the work and performance of one of the heroes of the Capuchino settlements in Venezuela, Baltasar de Matallana. The discovery of the regions that were at his charge will have their literary sediment in a story that, starting from the presumption of odeporic narration, acquires characteristics of the novel of adventure with real content.
