Abstract
In this paper we would like to pay attention to the role of the translator of catechisms to Nahuatl during the period between the 16th and 19th centuries. We are going to focus on the motivations of the authors, their techniques and their attitude towards translation. Our corpus is composed of eight translations from Spanish to Nahuatl made during this period.
