In this paper the author intends to present a reflection on a double responsibility (presence) of the Saint. The first one, dogmatic (doctrinal), related to the compatibility of a (constitutionally) contemplative ideal / life with an apostolical life in situ. The second one, of a historical and contextual character, the relation of the Saint with the evangelization in the American Continent, in a double bind aspect: personal implication and foundational extension.
