Abstract
This volume, on the interdisciplinary field of non-verbal communication studies, deals with the specific tasks and problems involved in the translation of literary works as well as film and television texts, and in the live experience of simultaneous and consecutive interpretation. The theoretical and methodological ideas and models presented in this volume broach the disciplines not only of literature, translation and interpreting but also film and drama studies, linguistics and psycholinguistics, semiotics, communication studies, and cross-cultural anthropology.
