Abstract
This chapter describes the methods and strategies proposed for legal translation before analyzing in details Hooper’s translation of the Ottoman Majalla into English. The author validates that the translation of Hooper consists of specific sets of translation strategies to achieve the communicative transmission within the translatability process.
