Abstract

This special issue of Palimpsestes aims to shed some light on clichés in translation. Issues discussed here include some reflections on the transposition of clichés and stereotypes in translation, clichés in technical translation and translator training, fixed metaphors in Moby Dick and its French translations, clichés and self-translation in Vladimir Nakokov and comics etcetera.
