Andrade Franco, Alfonso. 1995. La traducción de poesía y de prosa poética: reflexiones [Translating poetry and poetic prose: some reflections]. Traduic 5 (10) : 41–46.

Abstract

The author attempts to show literary translation in a new light, derived from a theory which the author calls 'formal and semantic entropies.' This approach is based on the loss of spirit and sense in translation. This is illustrated through three translations of the following works: García Márquez's El Otoño del Patriarca, a poem by Joy Kogawa, from the book Woman in the Wood and the author's own poem Ser de Ocre from the book Viento Amurallado.
