Abstract
This chapter contains a description of the MFA program in Literary Translation at Queens College of the City University of New York, which operates on the assumption that better writers make better translators. Hence, in addition to intensive instruction in translating texts from various languages into English, students take creative writing courses in the genres in which they translate.
