Abstract
Over 75% of professional translators and interpreters predominantly work with technical texts. Based on year-long experience, practice and research, the author looks into this economically important issue. The first chapter analyses the general conditions and determining factors of technical translation, the second chapter deals with typical translation problems in technical texts, and finally the third chapter investigates terminology work.
