Abstract
In this work the authors try to explore and justify why lexicography should be present in any type of academic programme linked to the study and treatment of languages. They would like to highlight how relevant at least one subject on lexicography is for translators, because dictionaries are 'the main tools of their trade', just as they are for philologists.
