The increasing crumbling of national borders in international and regional organizations as well as economic unions entails the need of translations of legal texts of all kinds. The present volume provides an interdisciplinary perspective on the state of the art of legal text translation. The author highlights the problem from different points of view. Insights from the field of the legal studies and comparative law, applied linguistics, Translation Studies, terminology teaching and the contrastive lexicography contribute to these insights in order to scientifically study legal translation and give suggestions for practice.
