Abstract

The article provides an analysis of the pragmatic interferences in audiovisual translation from English into Spanish. It defines pragmatic interference and all its elements, and through the analysis of many examples of all the mentioned elements it concludes that there is little interference from English into Spanish in audiovisual translations, though there is a repetitive use of certain expressions such as: 'all right', 'forget it', 'that's all', 'end of the story', 'ladies and gentlemen', 'yes, sir', 'let me tell you' and 'somehow', which have managed to enter through translation everyday colloquial Spanish.
