Signboard language, a form of vocative text, is used to remind tourists to obey certain rules and regulations so that they can behave properly. When translating signboard language, tourists’ acceptance and understanding of the translations should be given priority, adopting different translation methods to achieve the final purpose. The fidelity rule and the coherence rule will facilitate successful communication.
