This book is designed as a handbook and attempts to study in a systematic way the development and importance of (mainly literary) translation in Spain throughout history. It provides a very comprehensive annotated list of translations done in Spain and tries to keep track of the most influential Spanish translations associating them with historical development in literature, and linguistics.
