Abstract
This paper mainly focuses on three aspects: some paradoxical and problematic reflections on the way that translations “represent” other texts, highlighting the hybrid nature of translation; the issue of what translations can represent for students of translation; the problems of our representations of translation and other concepts and practices of translation in particular.
