Abstract
This article deals with myths and fallacies in translation teaching. The article presents, among other topics, a communication model elaborated by Bell, the shift from the product-oriented to the process-oriented focus in Translation Studies and some reflections, and the think-aloud protocol. The author concludes by arguing that the word "process" has misled many researchers into looking inside the brain for the nature of translation.
