Abstract
The purpose of this study is to show that Hoey’s repetition model is in fact capable of pinpointing the quality difference between translations. It first describes the model and then proceeds to showing how the analysis of the text-organizing function of repetition can be used to indicate quality differences between translations. The analysis of an original English text and its two Hungarian translations constitute the basic material.
