Abstract
This paper discusses the historical changes in translations from Chinese literature in Korea, Japan and Vietnam. The author identifies three stages which should be almost identical in all three countries. Generalising this claim, Dong-il interprets the changes as providing good evidence for a theory of the universal periodization of the literary history of the world.
