Abstract
This survey discusses works translated from intermediary languages as well as those translated directly from the Chinese. In both cases, their quality as translations or literary works is evaluated. Some translations of modern writers are included in the paper to highlight the changing interests of Hebrew readers, on the one hand, and the commercialization of translating, on the other.
