This paper explores logical issues concerning the English translation of the names of some Chinese agencies. The author summarizes the main features of the names of Chinese agencies before discussing the necessity of logical interposition. Through the analysis of some translated examples, the author elaborates how the process of logical interposition is carried out in both the comprehension of the source text and the expression in the target text. The author concludes that logic is the translator's trump card to achieve textual coherence.
