Abstract
This paper presents a specific approach to inverse translation designed to fulfil the two main objectives of any specialised translation: accuracy and efficiency. The author defends inverse translation for certain types of texts where excellent command of the language of the source text, the translator's first language, combined with 'intelligent' use of documentation sources, more than compensate for a lack of fluency in the foreign language.
