Abstract
In this paper, the author analyses the scope of a communicative theory of translation using the scientific methodology and logic used by those sciences which study objects which cannot be observed directly. The aim of this analysis is to show that the scientific knowledge on which the communicative theory of translation is based, does constitute a system. To that end, the author uses the inductive-deductive method and scientific reflection. Moreover, the author indicates the various stages in the development of the hypothesis.
