The author discusses the translation of parodies. He uses the translation of Alice in Wonderland, the famous children’s book by Lewis Carroll. Through the poem How doth the little crocodile of the second chapter The lake of tears, the author tries to explain the difficulty involved in the translation of parodies. Furthermore, he discusses the work of other translators who were confronted with parodies.
