Previous studies indicate that interpreters are outstanding in understanding, working memory and coordination. This dissertation focuses on the executive functions of the working memory. It also attempts to assess the degree to which they are associated and to what extent they can be affected by the format the information is represented in. Four executive functions are studied: coordination, planning, updating and deletion. This was done by studying four groups of participants divided according to their working memory ability. Results show that the executive function is not completely integrated, as part of the functions are related to working memory.
