This article embarks upon live broadcast simultaneous interpreting. The question this article addresses is: how well can and does the interpreter perform in the face of additional difficulties and restraints to meet the added demands on output quality in live broadcast interpreting? It discusses quality criteria and elaborates upon a case study presenting a Berlin speech by Bill Clinton.
