In this paper, the author reports on think-aloud protocol (TAP) experiments that concentrate on comprehension. Four dialogue protocols of third-year students acquainted with psycholinguistic notions and models are examined. The subjects of this investigation were given a fictitious translation assignment. Subsequently, the successful and partly successful processes are elaborated upon.
