Abstract
Translation is not only an interlinguistic exercise, but an intercultural one as well. This article aims to systematically and progressively summarize some nonverbal aspects of literature before and after translation, which continue to be neglected by the majority. It looks into, among other issues, the physical and circumstantial conditioning elements of the reading experience and the role of punctuation symbols.
