This chapter discusses the main lines of development articulated by the chapters contained in the volume and outlines the new model of interdisciplinary humanistic scholarship that it embodies. Addressing the edited volume Time, Space, Matter in Translation as a ‘collective monograph’, the chapter discusses the promises and the challenges that a new shared mode of knowledge production entails and shows how translation studies represents an ideal transdisciplinary field, in the humanities, to house models of scholarly collaboration, inclusiveness, and shared goals.
