This book contains authentic and verbatim transcripts of original lectures and interpreted renditions by trainee interpreters at the European Commission 'stage' in Brussels in September 1976. The material primarily records interpreting training into and from Danish, but all the six community languages which were in official use at the time, are represented. The material is now made accessible to bona fida researchers and to teachers of interpreting, partly in this book, partly by recordings (taped under very poor conditions).
