Abstract

The introduction in Spain of the work of Karl Krause, a Hegelian philosopher, was a result of the efforts of his translator, Julián Sanz del Río, who offered Spanish intellectuals of the Edad de Plata (Silver Age) a new political, social and aesthetic option. The article offers a biographical account of Sanz del Río with emphasis on the impact of his translations as cultural stimuli.
