Abstract
Since 2015-2016, University of Porto's undergraduate translation students have participated in translating the digital encyclopaedia Ulyssei@s. This project, by the Institute for Comparative Literature Margarida Losa, motivates students, develops translation skills, and fosters teamwork. It employs Gouadec's methodology, including collaborative glossary-making, translation, human translation revision, and post-editing neural machine translation (NMT). Challenges include diverse textual genres and locating original or official translations. A study based on the spring 2022 semester data explores student experiences and adaptation to Human Language Technology advancements, particularly NMT's integration. Ulyssei@s continues to expand with new entries, offering an ongoing training ground for translators.
