Abstract
Audio description (AD) must compensate for the loss of visual information through words, so the training of audio-describers is necessary and, given the importance of this service, more important than ever. For the author, one of the issues that seems to be the most complex to bring into the audio description script is that of intertextuality, and audio-describers must decide the degree of their intervention to ensure that these connections reach the viewers. Thus, the author has reviewed some previous studies and has carried out an analysis proposal in the film Dolor y gloria (Almodóvar 2019) to observe the degree of explicitation. Finally, the author has developed a series of didactic activities to work with intertextuality in audio description training.
