Abstract

The article analyzes three translations by the Hebrew poet Yonatan Ratosh. It claims that the poet has reconstructed in these translations the contrasts between heroism and weakness, victory and defeat which characterize his own poetry in its early stages: the "Revisionist" (when he was part of the Zionist right wing) and the "Canaanite" (when he was leader of the Canaanite group).
