Abstract

The article starts off with an introduction in which the author first clarifies a few definitions. Next, she highlights some of the findings of think-aloud protocol research and finally raises some future directions into focus. Further, the bibliography itself is introduced. It focuses primarily on studies in which translating is the object of research, not as a means of eliciting data on language processing; it concentrates on studies which rely mainly on TAP data, although some studies using joint translating (dialogue protocols or group discussions) or retrospection have also been included; and it excludes conference papers. In sum, the bibliography is an attempt at a comprehensive bibliography of TAP studies into translating.
