This article embarks upon the problem of translation through the analysis of the tragedy time. First, the cycle of time is discussed. The cycle of time as the order of the cosmos is the second topic. The heroic Lethos is the third issue. In the second part of this paper, the author wonders in what way the time sphere of Sophocles’ Antigone is transformed in the translation process. In the third part of this paper, the author discusses the contemporary interpretations of Antigone.
