In this exposé, the author aims at explaining how he teaches second-year students of translation to revise texts. In a first paragraph, ‘text revision’ is discussed. Next, the position of revision education as part of the Dutch curriculum is discussed. Finally, some concrete translation excerpts made by second-year students serve to illustrate the contribution of revision to translation education.
