Abstract
Reinhart's paper deals with the translations of Boethius's De Consolatione Philosophiae in seventeenth-century Germany. It first traces the history of translations of this immensely influential work prior to the Baroque period and then compares two renderings of the Baroque, those of Johann Hellwig (1670) and the joint translation of Knorr von Rosenroth and Franciscus von Hellmont (1677).
