Abstract
Nossack comments on the relationship of writing and translation. For Nossack, the act of writing a literary piece is already an act of translation: “because writing itself is already translating.” He states that “a translated book that is merely grammatically correct is hardly more than a mannequin draped in the colors of the foreign country.” His personal opinions, reflections and experiences as a translator are present in the article.
