Abstract
In this paper, Thelen sheds some light on the training courses offered for translators and interpreters at the Rijkshogeschool Maastricht. He proves the interdependence of theory and practice and echoes Albrecht Neubert’s view that “theory without practice is empty and practice without theory is blind”.
