Abstract

This book analyses translation in the 12th-13th century in Spain, a period in which Greek knowledge as translated and interpreted in Arabic is transferred to Western Europe through new translations into Latin and vernacular languages. The author questions the idea of a structured Translation School of Toledo and describes translation procedures, policies and techniques.
