Abstract

The article first embarks on the ‘segmento textual’ (textual segment), which is defined as each portion of a text that is isolated from the rest for analysis. The textual segments do not always correspond to the segments in the target text. This article presents a series of examples of the relations between the source text segments and target text segments in order to illustrate the variety of situations one can encounter from the viewpoint of cultural correspondence.
