This article contains two French legal texts and their Spanish translation. Moreover, the author embarks upon a justification of these translations into Spanish. He looks into, among other issues, the assignment of the translation (the addressee, the client and the aim of the translation). Next, he discusses the legal difficulties in the process of translation, i.e. the asymmetry between the Belgian and Spanish legal systems. Next, the linguistic and cultural difficulties are discussed. Finally, the author provides a global justification of the translation.
